Today was the Great Strides walk for CF at Lowry Park Zoo.  Last year was our first year doing the walk, and we only found out about it a couple days before, so we really didn’t know what to expect.  And it had started pouring just as we were supposed to start walking.  We ran for cover under the nearest tunnel.  A half hour later, it was still pouring just as hard.  So we ran as fast as we could to the car and went home soaking wet.

This year, we actually got to walk.  We all tried to keep up with Jesse on his very fast first lap around the zoo, and then we did one slower lap stopping to see the few animals that were still out.  I got to meet Jesse’s CF nurse, who I am always hearing about how awesome she is.  All together our team raised $1295!
