Thankful for My Husband

We all have so many things to be thankful for in our lives. With all the busyness going on, it is important to take the time to remember all the blessings in our lives. Ronnie and Mandi have been great at reminding us to share what we are thankful for. Be sure to check out their blog to see what they and others are thankful for too.

HusbandToday I am extremely thankful for my wonderful husband.  I know it’s a little sappy… but it’s true!  I’m thankful to have him on my “team.”  I’m thankful that he is willing to take a career risk with me and support me while we make these life changes.  I’m so proud of how well he has been running our business.  He is really going places this year, and I’m excited to see where this ride takes us.

Happy Anniversary!

Happy fourth anniversary Jesse! I can’t believe it’s been four years already… and I can’t believe it’s only been four years. I’m so happy to be married to you, and so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together so far.

Our wedding day was fabulous, but it flew by so fast! Here’s some of things I remember most about that day…

I remember waking up, not believing that I would be married by the end of the day.Hands

I remember feeling so relaxed (yet excited) getting ready even though I thought I would be freaking out.Makeup

I remember being so nervous right before I walked down the isle, I thought I would be sick.Walking with Dad

I remember how much I was concentrating during our ceremony so that I would never forget any of it.Ceremony1Ceremony2Ceremony3

I remember feeling so relieved when it was over and we were walking out of the church.Walking out

I remember taking so many pictures my smile hurt.Jesse's familyKristin's family

I remember how hot it was outside when we posed for even more pictures.Outside pictures

I remember how anxious you were to make our grand entrance into our reception room.Grand entrance

I remember how hard we practiced to make our first dance perfect.Dance1Dance2Dance3Dance with Dad

I remember your sweet toast to me before dinner.Toast

I remember that you followed the rules and didn’t smash cake all over my face.Cake beforeCake after

I remember Luke and Stephanie being such great sports when they caught the bouquet and guarter (they were engaged and married two months after us).Bouquet tossLuke and Stephanie

I remember enjoying time at our reception chatting with all of our guests.Talking

CarI remember the time going by so quickly and it was over already.

We’ve gone through a lot since then, but it’s only made us stronger. We’ve changed a lot too, but we keep getting better. Thanks for another great year… I hope we have many, many more. I love you!

Wedding Memories: The Venue

Tomorrow will be our four-year wedding anniversary! As we remember our fabulous day, I thought I would share some of our wedding memories with you. This is part three of my wedding memories.

Our wedding reception location was fantastic! Jesse and I looked around at several locations before we saw this one. Not only did the color scheme of the room go along perfectly with the wedding colors, but the views outside were picture perfect.

The catering came along with the country club. We got to choose what our menu and hors d’oeuvres would be and then they did all of the set up themselves. We had some special touches that we wanted included with table settings that they took care of also. I think they did great making everything run smoothly.

My favorite thing to pick was the cake. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted the cake to look like. The cake decorator was amazing. I described what I wanted and she sketched out perfectly what I was thinking. The cake turned out better than I imagined and tasted so yummy.
